For me, and maybe you, Labor Day is a fun holiday spent with family, friends and good simple food.  Nothing fancy — meat, potatoes and salad.

There’s something special about simple recipes.  My grandma makes an amazing potato salad, but she doesn’t use a recipe.   She likes to say that it’s never exactly the same.  And it’s not.  Every time, though, it has her touch.  That potato salad is her, through and through.  No one can make it quite like her, because no one else is her.

The same goes with any recipe I make, or any recipe you make.  It’s not just sharing food.  It’s sharing of ourselves and how we make the food.
