It all comes down to tonight. The Red Sox still control their destiny, even after this awful, awful month. If they win these final two, the worst that happens is a one-game playoff.
So let’s forget about tomorrow and forget about yesterday. Win tonight, that’s what we need to do. Worry about tomorrow when tomorrow comes.
Our backs are nearly as far back as possible. The hallmark of this team’s faithful has always been a willingness to believe in a team that has not always been easy to believe in. Rooting for the Red Sox is not for the faint of heart. If the worst happens, we will have all offseason to grieve and talk about what went wrong, but right now I don’t care about that. It costs nothing to believe and I expect this team to leave everything on the field tonight. Go Sox!
